Founded in 1983 by David A. Carter, Precision Metal Tooling, Inc.™ has built a reputation for precision and innovation. With over 42 years of experience in tool and die manufacturing, David A. Carter has assembled one of the most talented teams in the industry. Together with his son, David C. Carter, who joined the company in 2019, we blend years of experience with fresh perspectives and cutting-edge techniques.
David C. Carter holds both a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from UC Davis and has worked in research and development for one of Japan’s largest tool manufacturers before returning to the family business. This fusion of expertise ensures that our customers receive both seasoned knowledge and innovative solutions.
David A. Carter and his son, David C. Carter, proudly continue the family tradition in the tooling trade, following in the footsteps of David A.’s father and David C’s grandfather, Clay Carter. Featured below is a photograph of Clay Carter, taken circa 1974.
